The Latest Career Advice

I’m featured in a new book about launching your career, and at the risk of being a bit commercial, I wanted to tell you about it.

Chris Perry of Career Rocketeer has accumulated brand spanking new advice from some top career experts, each of whom has written a chapter for this book.

What’s my article about? I examine how mid-career executives can become more relevant in today’s market. My advice is pretty concrete. Determine whether you are working in a sector that is strong in either Protection or Detection. These terms are deliberately broad, but they are also watchwords for the career paths that are on an upward trajectory.
