The Informational Interview: Setting the Stage

When I talk to my clients about networking, one of the most difficult concepts to get across is the informational interview.

Because the truth is, job seekers are by nature looking for a job, and it is tough to reconcile that fact with the idea that an informational interview is purely for information-gathering purposes.

Phil Rosenberg has written a great blog post about just this issue, and I fully agree with everything he says here.
