Bio

I’m a career advisor in NYC helping young adults and established executives discover, launch, develop and change their careers.

My Work with Individuals and Teams

Since 2005 I’ve guided hundreds of clients to understand where their strengths and interests fit in the world of work and how to position and market themselves for opportunities. I’m a marketer and inveterate networker with a background in executive search, and I’ve been told I have a flair for packaging people and ideas, and a knack for translating a person’s interests, aptitudes and experiences into a career path.

In 2008 I spent a year interviewing college grads up to age 30 about the pitfalls, lessons learned and advice they would give to their younger selves. I’ve designed a program to help young people link their interests, education and experiences to the right career path, while creating a roadmap to increase self-awareness and connect school to work in a more structured fashion.

In addition to my work with individuals I conduct leadership training with teams, helping early and mid-career employees develop and brand themselves and navigate their career trajectory. I’m Myers-Briggs certified. And I love a good career discovery conversation, so you’ll find me blogging at my own blog, Career Connector, on LinkedIn and at my career launch workshops for NYU and other schools in the New York area.

My Work Creating & Teaching Career Curriculum

I also develop and deliver career curriculum for academic institutions, most recently for Trilogy Education Services, a start-up and first of its kind to bring the successful web development boot camp model in-house to universities around the country while partnering with hiring companies and ensuring that students are employer-ready. I taught the career curriculum at the first boot camp which launched at Rutgers University in October, 2015. Since then, Trilogy has added boot camps at University of Texas, UCLA, University of Central Florida and University of North Carolina.

My Education and Background

I started my career in marketing and branding and I’m also a linguist with cross-cultural expertise. I hold a BA from the University of Michigan in International Relations & Romance Languages, and an MA in International Education as well as a Certificate in Adult Career Planning from New York University. I live in New York City, and have two children, one in college and the other a new grad.
